Building a car rental marketplace with market-data-driven pricing.

The project

Project context

RidePrise is a car rental marketplace for Albania that connects travellers with verified local rental agencies. Travellers compare real availability across cities, book online in minutes with instant confirmation, and pay the quoted price. Agencies gain a distribution channel that reaches international demand they could not reach alone.

The Albanian rental market is fragmented: dozens of small agencies, prices that move with season and demand, and no single place where travellers can compare offers with confidence. Building the marketplace meant solving two problems at once — a storefront that converts visitors into bookings, and a pricing engine that keeps offers competitive as the market changes. The booking journey covers the whole country, from beach towns to the page where travellers rent a car at Tirana Airport on arrival.

We designed and built the platform end to end: the customer-facing marketplace, the booking funnel, and the data infrastructure that continuously observes the market and informs pricing decisions.

The work was delivered through three workstreams: the marketplace and booking funnel, the pricing engine with its data pipeline, and the multi-language organic growth architecture. Each workstream addressed a specific technical and operational constraint.

Our role
Full product engineering: marketplace development, booking funnel, pricing engine, and continuous delivery.

Delivered solutions

Distinct solutions for concrete needs.

Each solution addresses a specific technical or operational constraint. Together, they show how we contribute through custom development, integrations, migrations, replatforming, or engineering capacity embedded in the team.

01

Multi-language marketplace and booking funnel

Engineering challenge

Travellers searching for a rental car in Albania need to compare offers from many independent agencies and book without phone calls or uncertainty. Each agency works differently, and a generic listing would not earn trust.

Delivered solution

We built a seven-language marketplace, including Albanian, English and Italian, with search, availability filtering, and an instant-booking funnel alongside direct WhatsApp contact. City and airport landing pages pair the funnel with travel content that answers the questions visitors actually have.

Operational value

Visitors move from search to a confirmed booking in minutes, and agencies receive qualified, date-ready requests instead of generic enquiries.

02

Pricing engine and market observations

Engineering challenge

Rental prices in Albania shift with season, lead time and demand across competing platforms. Agencies need to price against the real market, but manual research across dozens of competitor listings does not scale.

Delivered solution

We built a data pipeline that continuously collects public offers from competing rental platforms across six cities, normalises them into a market-observation store, and runs seasonal price analysis and fleet matching on top of it. The same data foundation feeds pricing suggestions for the agencies on the platform.

Operational value

Pricing decisions are grounded in current market data instead of intuition, with seasonal patterns captured per city and car class.

Multi-market organic growth architecture

Engineering challenge

The marketplace competes for travel-intent searches in multiple languages and countries, where established aggregators hold most of the authority.

Delivered solution

We designed the site architecture around hreflang-separated language editions, programmatic city and car-class pages, and travel-guide content. Technical foundations: server-side rendering, clean canonical structure, and mobile-first performance for a predominantly mobile audience.

Operational value

The platform grows organic traffic from Albania, Italy, the US and the UK without paid dependency, and each new city page ships as a fully-formed landing page rather than a stub.
